- WVU Tech Resident Freshmen Scholarships – http://finaid.wvutech.edu/scholarships

- Presidential Award – 3.0 GPA and 25 ACT. Award is valued at 2,500 four out-of-state students and 1,500 for in-state students. Scholarship is for first time freshmen only.
- Golden Bear Award – 3.0 GPA and 21 ACT. Award is valued at 2,000 for out-of-state students and 1,000 for in-state students. Scholarship is for first time freshmen only.
- Golden Bear Transfer Student Award – Transfer 30 or more college hours from an accredited institution with a 3.25 cumulative GPA. Apply for and enroll in a bachelor’s degree program. Award is worth 1,000 annually and is renewable for six semesters with a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Current students are ineligible.
- Dr. Dana R. & Ethel R. Ervin Endowed Scholarship & Educational Fund – Graduate of Riverside High School or a successor high school serving the total geographic area formerly known as Cabin Creek District; be enrolled full-time in a four-year degree program at WVU Tech while actually receiving the scholarship, though notification of intent to award may occur prior to enrollment in the case of high school students. In such instances, the actual award and payment of award shall not occur until after official enrollment as a full-time student; must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and a composite ACT score of at least 18 from high school and maintain a 3.0 GPA at Tech. All other criteria being equal, preference will be given to financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office of WVU Tech.
- Community Service Scholarship – Fayette County students are given first priority; one scholarship per year to any one student; must present application, statement of income, and benefit applicant would derive from this program; Taskforce on Youth Programming will make final decision. - Nora Goad Scholarship – Scholarship for students – see Dr. D. Anne Cavalier
- Orndorff Annuity Income – Full tuition and fees from interest earnings of the A.W. & Irene Orndorff Fund; recipients are to be chosen by the President from a list prepared by Financial Aid; resident pf Kanawha, Fayette, Clay or Nicholas counties entering WVU Tech. Renewable as long as criteria is met. See Dr. D. Anne Cavalier.
- Otis Rice Endowed Scholarship – Awarded to graduate of East bank High or a high school in the traditional Cabin Creek District; have a 3.0 GPA from high school and ACT of 18; be enrolled full-time in a four year degree program. All other criteria being equal, financial need will be considered. May be retained for up to 10 semesters if the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time status. - Tech Classified Employee’s Scholarship – Award to benefit eligible, classified employee’s spouse or child; enrolled full-time; preference to first-time freshmen; seniority of the employee. Upperclassman or transfers must have a 2.0 GPA. See the Human Resource Department.
- A. Reed Davis Endowed Scholarship – Recipient shall have residence form Pocahontas County WV and shall have a college attained GPA of at least 2.5; award only after freshman year; must have greatest financial need of all applicants; award may be continued so long as criteria is maintained.
- Alicia McCormick Endowed Memorial Scholarship – Full-time student majoring in health service administration, public service administration or a social science field; 2.5 GPA can be retained to graduation. All things being equal preference to a graduate from Greenbrier County High School or a single parent.
- Arts and Sciences Scholarship – Freshman with business, humanities, or sciences major declared.
- Barbara Nelson Memorial Fund- Freshman student in humanities; must be academically capable. No restriction as to need or place of residence.
- Bobby Gunnoe Scholarship- Must be a student from George Washington High School
- E. E. “Gene” Dillon Endowed Scholarship – Degree seeking sophomore who has a 3.5 or better, award can continue for 3 years-provided recipient continues to meet all criteria.
- James Perry Memorial Scholarship – Scholarship for full-time student in degree granting program selected by minority student counselor/recruiter. To be used as a recruiting tool.
- Kraybill Family Endowed Scholarship – WV resident; entering freshman with a 3.5 GPA; enrolled full-time in the College of BHS; and all things being equal, most qualified based on academics. Can be continued for 8 semesters as long as a 3.0 GPA is maintained.
- Lincoln Scholars Fund – To help disadvantaged young people.
- Marjorie Poland Endowed I – Must be native born WV; graduate of WV high school; full-time status at WVU Tech; 2.5 GPA.
- MHS Class of 1940 Scholarship – Scholarship for students.
- Mrs. Rex A. (Lessie) Burdette Scholarship – For a deserving full-time student; being used for freshman recruiting.
- Office of Minority Affairs – To establish an educational fund that would be restricted to the use of minority students in granting scholarships to aid in buying textbooks and in supporting tuition.
- Orndorff Freshman Scholarship – Preference given to students from WV restricted to no more than 20% from outside WV. Scholarship is to be used for tuition & fees; can be renewed for the spring semester if 3.0 GPA is maintained.
- Presidential Honorarium – Scholastic achievement and need are the two factors used to determine the recipients for the President’s Honorarium. Scholastic achievement will be determined by using the ACT/SAT and high school or college GPA. When financial need is used the Office of Financial Aid will assist in determining the recipient.
- Randall P. Wood Memorial Scholarship – Treated as endowed scholarship for a WV resident with 3.0 GPA. Can be retained 8 consecutive semesters.
- Rho Epsilon Beta Scholarship – Endowed scholarship; nonrenewable; must be given to a different student each semester; junior, sophomore, and/or senior with at least a 2.75 GPA. Must be a US citizen and the best author of a 500 work essay on Patriotism to be judged by the English faculty.
- Simmons Endowed Scholarship – Financial need as determined by Financial Aid; maintain an academic GPA of 2.5; be a WV resident; preference will be given to the son or daughter of a coal miner; to be used for tuition and fees.
- VanGeem Endowed Scholarship – Used to enhance recruitment by awarding scholarships to new students at WVU Tech
- Vencill Endowed Scholarship – Sophomore standing in the semester in which the scholarship is effective; must have at least a 2.5 GPA overall, must maintain 2.5 GPA to continue. For tuition only; no major, state residency, and/or financial need requirements.
- William A. Bragg – Graduate of Montgomery or Valley High or a child of a graduate of those schools from the years of 1948-69; have a GPA of 2.7; be recommended by a teacher, principal or counselor. May be retained up to 8 consecutive semesters as long as all criteria are maintained.
- WV Society of District of Columbia Endowed Scholarship – Recruiting scholarship for freshman, WV resident; used for the purchase of textbooks.
- WVU Tech General Scholarship – To provide scholarships for WVU Tech students. Contributions are made to this account when no other scholarship has been designated by donor.
