Students
There are currently over 40 full-time majors in the Psychology program. Students range from 18 to 50 years of age, coming from diverse places such as West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Illinois, and Canada.
Current students’ interests in psychology are diverse, such as pursuing careers in neurology, psychiatry, school counseling, social work, applied behavior analysis, work with special needs children, corrections & rehabilitation, behavioral nursing, and research. Students take coursework, independent studies, research projects, and professional field placements as seniors to pursue these interests. Several psychology students double-major in other fields, such as biology and nursing, as part of their long-term career strategies.
